Today we brainstormed all of the things we could think of that the Earth gives us that we use. We came up with plants, water, sun, soil, minerals, wind, and fossil fuels. These things are called Natural Resources. We wrote that as the title in our notebook. Then we wrote down all of the ways we could think of that we used those natural resources. There were so many ways that it almost filled up a page!! We even ran out of space. Then we watched a video, pausing every few minutes to discuss. We only got to minute 6. I promise that the lesson doesn't stop here, and I'm not teaching you this so we can feel sad about using up our resources! We'll go on to learn and discuss ways that we can use our natural resources and take care of our earth at the same time. We'll talk about using renewable resources, and come up with things that kids, and adults can do to make a difference, since we only have one planet, and it gives us SO much!
